Philosophy of Design

I have a passion for design. Like the clothes we wear, the design choices an organization makes speak to the character and identity of that organization. Good, thoughtful design strengthens any message, idea, or brand, providing a sense of completeness and confidence that resonates with customers. Unfortunately, the world is filled with careless, incoherent design that can cause people to tune out a message before it’s even delivered. I consider it my personal mission to help organizations and individuals communicate to their constituents in a stronger, more purposeful way.

Bringing Stories to Life

Long before discovering the pleasure of good design, I have had a lifelong love affair with cartooning and illustration. There is a certain magical quality to a process that begins with a blank white page and ends with a vivid world filled with interesting situations and characters. Breathing life into stories – to capture the essence of a personality in a few bold strokes, to establish a mood with the judicious application of color – brings me great joy that I am eager to share with organizations, publications, and authors.
